Increase in monthly allowance

It’s difficult to know where to start with the above topic. How is it that these members of parliament already receive 9Million Tsh per month (equivalence of $6,923.00) and this is exclusive of the accommodation allowances they receive when they travel to Dodoma to attend the parliament. They also receive allowances when attending seminars that range to 200,000/- (equivalence of $153.00) per seminar attended. This is just absurd!

It is sad to know that when it comes to the time election this is when the politicians will think of the citizens who depend on them to help them. Is this the time to start caring for the poor citizens who are the most affected? The illiteracy in this country currently stands at 69.4%. Are the politicians asking themselves why the rate is so high? After the elected presidential candidate is made president in my opinion they forget about the people. The politicians just care about what they get out of the presidential elections and how much money they will earn and which house they will live in. Do they care about the poor person who earns less than 1000 shillings a day? Have they taken the time to go into the villages and look at what people are eating? How they go into the farms and try and find food for the next couple of hours? Does the government know that there are people in the area of Mbezi Beach who virtually sleep on the grass outside because they do not have enough funds to pay rent for a room that costs 5000 shillings per month?

Instead they ask to be paid 12 million Tanzanian shillings per month? I am sure that if we were to ask an MP why they need this money it would be for their own benefit. It is truly sad that as Africans we have come to this stage. In my opinion the young people such as myself who want to join these political parties just want to join them for their own fortunes….stealing from the citizens of Tanzania.

Shady Heart

Why is there a shade around my heart,
Why do you have to give me something good,
We just had to blend in all areas but yet there was a shade behind us.

The learning curve

This morning the shades of evil entered my heart,

Why did all the memories of the bad things that happened in my life just have to come rolling in?
I have to be stronger than this,

Someone touches my sensitive spot and boom I sob?
nah my best friends tell me that I am a strong woman I should be stronger than this,

Everytime someone tells me that something I don't want to hear my world comes crumbling down

Now I have something good in my life, it's in the initial stages but I am loving it,
I have never connected with anybody like this before,

Back to what happened this morning I began to think of possibly making it on my own,
But there are boundaries that one has to think about and maybe god is testing me,

Patience is a virtue and I need have that.

It is a learning curve and I will get there...
